Prior to entering the doctoral
program, he was Program Manager at Gnostic Concepts,
Inc., a market research firm in the Silicon Valley,
California, specializing in high technology products.
In addition to managing quarterly syndicated reports,
he executed both qualitative and quantitative
research, developed regression-based forecasting
models, and interfaced with high-volume domestic
and international clients. More recently, Mark
co-founded the Business Plan Academy.

In this capacity, he reviews marketing
and business plans and makes business strategy recommendations
to start-up organizations. Building on sound theoretical
foundations in entrepreneurship, marketing management,
and consumer behaviour, he has worked with numerous
entrepreneurs as well as senior managers of existing
enterprises to align their organizations for optimal
profitability and growth. Mark has been particularly
active in customer relationship management, with a focus
on organizational strengths and weaknesses, customer
segmentation and targeting, and developing programs
to deepen relationships with pre-identified core target
groups.
Mark is adept at
managing complex research projects projects and producing incisive written reports. He possesses the rare ability of communicating complex topics in understandable terms. Mark possesses a solid understanding of multivariate statistics and experimental design. He is proficient at: ANOVA, logistic regression, cluster analysis, factor analysis, multi-dimensional scaling and conjoint analysis.
Mark joined Bond University, Australia,
in 2002, where he is Associate Professor of Marketing.
Formerly he was with Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven, Connecticut, USA. He has taught a variety of marketing courses to undergraduates, postgraduates and executives, including Consumer Behaviour, Principles of Marketing, Market Research and Entrepreneurship. He has presented workshops in the United States and
in Europe on writing marketing plans, conducting market research and marketing management. He has published
in top academic journals including the Journal of Marketing
Research, Journal of Consumer Research, the European
Journal of Marketing, Organizational Behavior and Human
Decision Processes, Business Horizons, and Psychology
and Marketing.
Along with his doctorate, Mark has a MA degree in Economics from San Jose State University, and a BS degree in Economics and International Business from California Polytechnic State University.
